Lapua Brass Issue??
«

I just got 65 pieces of Lapua Brass in 6.5 x 284. Do all of the ones you have contain an annealing type about 1/4" below the neck up to the mouth of the case? It just seems weird to get brand new stamped Lapua Brass that looks like that. Is it normal?
Thanks,
Bob

All the Lapua brass I have ever used shows that is was annealed.
What's the problem?

There's no problem I was just wondering if this was normal or if I got some bad brass but it sounds like that is the way their brass is and I'm fine with that--I just wanted to make sure it was all right and I wasn't getting something other than Lapua's best.
Thanks for the input.

I believe it is intentionally left there by Lapua to show you, the customer that the brass has been annealed. The first time you run it through your brass tumbler, it will take it all off (at least mine does with corn cob media).
