Tanfoglio Gardone .22 SA - Any Good?
« on: February 19, 2009, 04:12:48 AM »
I have the opportunity to pick up Armi Filli Tanfoglio Gardone MOD. TA76 single action western style revolver with a .22 long rifle cylinder.  The price is $75 with a decent drop leather holster and I was wondering if I should or not?  I've never shot one so I know nothing about them.  It functions fine and this would be for my wife to plink with.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks, Brett

I don't know about their rimfires but their .45 and 9mm auto's are great shooters.

Fishteach, Am I to understand that I am no longer the only Brett on the forum?

$75 with a decent holster... I'ld probably take a chance on it. Might turn out to be a good plinker/woods tramping gun.  Something you don't mind getting beat around a bit.

Hello Brett, You are correct, there is another Brett. :) I bought it for $75 and so far it's a fun little shooter and my wife likes it so it's hers now.  Thanks, Brett

That's cool.  I've run across only a handful of other Bretts in my 47 years and most of those spelled their names with only one 't' instead of two like us.

Good luck with the new shooting iron.   I don't think I've ever seen a Tanfoglio Gardone. How is the fit and finish of that little six shooter?  Post a picture if you can.

I stumbled upon a Tanfoglio Gardone semi-auto a couple of years ago.  Paid $150 for it, and have been very pleased with the gun.  Accurate, and no misfires or jams.  You don't see many in these parts, but I would not hesitate to buy another Tanfoglio.

Tanfoglio center fire pistols are well worth the money. Didn't know they made revolvers. I suspect it is a decent firearm as well.
