.357 Maximum at deer camp
« on: September 20, 2009, 07:02:22 AM »
I spent the weekend at friends' deer camp about 40 miles north of me.  We went up to do some pre-season work, hunt grouse and eat up alot of last years venison.  The .357 Max went along primarily so two teenage gals could get to shoot it.  Two young men up from Ohio looking for property stopped by.  The two of them and the girls shot the Max in .38, Mag and Max.  I think I created four more Handiholics.  They all loved it.

Sounds like a good time to me. ;) It is very easy to get hooked on a rifle that is that versatile and accurate to boot.  ;D

I got the same reaction recently.  A friend drove up to my house for the weekend to do some reloading.  He shot my .357 Handi with some wadcutters.  His next words "Oohhh, I gotta have one of these!"

Nice job Pete!  I have a coworkers father that has been wanting a handi rifle.  Except everytime I throw my buddy an add he redirects it and his Dad never gets the info.  Too bad.  SOME people just cant see the value of these rifles.  He thinks I'm crazy for selling some bolts to get Handi Rifles. ;)

Way to go Pete, that's the one that will get em hooked alright.  I think it's our civic duty to get as many involved in shooting, especially Handi's, and try to introduce as many as I can to our sport.  It's the best way to keep the gun grabbers away that I can do besides staying with the NRA, and watching who I vote for.  DP

Why not get the dad's phone number and call him directly?  Or arrange to "run into him?"  And invite the dad to go shooting with you?   ;D

:'( Will you please stop showing off your Maximums? I have not got one yet and you people are getting more people wanting them. STOP IT I SAY!  >:(

Well ok, I guess if I did have one to go with my Maximum Contender, I would show it as well. Good job on bringing more into the Handi fold.
