Hi, Wanted to try lead balls in my Dictator mortar but don't have any casting equipment or experience. I found a source of inexpensive hollow practice golf balls and decided to try a different approach. A quarter inch hole was drilled into each ball with a brad point bit in the drill press for a nice clean hole. Filled the ball with #9 lead shot and plugged them with a steel epoxy. Each ball weighs 210 grams +/- 2 grams and sizing is OK. I've shot a few and so far no damage to the balls despite their being plastic. Maybe they'll hold up for a few shots each, time will tell. Regards, LSC
