Buying a Tikka on line?
« on: September 23, 2009, 07:25:52 PM »
I am going to buy a Tikka in about 2 weeks. I went to the Gander Mountain in Roanoke Virginia, and they have them in stock, but will not price match. I can save about 100.00 dollars if I buy on the net. This is with shipping and paying a dealer to handle the sale. I would like to buy local but a 100.00 is a lot of money. Has anyone bought a gun on the net and if so, how did it go. Also a good sorce would be good as a good reference would make me feel better about buying a gun on the net. Thanks, Don

I've bought several firearms online in the past few years, Buds, RR Arms, The Gun Source, Whittakers and Wholesale Hunter are all good to deal with, Bud's has pretty darn good prices, shows whether it's in stock and the price listed is the shipped price.  ;)

Well the tikka line is good so Don't worry about buying sight unseen .
I would buy local only for the reason , should any thing go wrong you can bring it back to were you bought it . Where as you not going to get the service , if you did not buy it there .
For a price difference of a 100.00 . I would buy on line , if the local shop will not at least spit the differance

Called a local dealer today to see if he would handle an online purchase. He said, I have the gun you want on the rack and he gave me a price I couldn't pass up. Don
