weapon shield?
« on: September 23, 2009, 02:29:48 PM »
not sure if I'm posting this in the right place..? if not, I apologize...

anybody use this stuff? (weapon shield)  been hearing some good things about it. just curious to hear if anyone has 1st hand experience with it...?

currently using Breakfree CLP on all my guns, which was a big improvement on the Hoppes #9 & Hoppes oil I was using. my guns seem to clean way easier with the CLP...

have heard that weapon shield works especially well as a protectant/rust preventer...? just wondering if I should give it a try, or stick to my CLP...

thanks in advance for all info...

I like it.  I don't use my guns under exceptionally hard conditions, but Weapon Shield holds up really well.  I've used it in everything from my semi's, revolvers, rifles and shotguns.

At this point, I can't really tell you if it's that much better than CLP (which I also like quite a bit), but it certainly does the job.

I have been using Ed's Red for years. It doesn't do much for metal fouling but works wonderfully well for all of my cast bullet guns (and that is ALL of my handguns):
