.223 Bullet Weight in TC Barrel
« on: September 25, 2009, 06:51:10 PM »
What bullet weights stabilize in the 1 in 12 TC Barrels? ???
I read somewhere that bullets up to 62 grains would do well. What is your experience?

Thanks,
Doug

I have had good results with 55gr. Nosler Ballistic Tips, and terrible results with 64gr. Winchester Power Points in T/C .223 Barrels. That surprised me as the 55gr. Nosler Ballistic Tips are actually a little longer than the 64gr. Winchester Power Points.

I have a pro hunter 28” barrel .223 have had outstanding results with hornady 55 gr. V-max ¼” moa @ 100 yds you have to play with your powder and o.a.l. I use h-322 and stay .05 off the lands ,good luck. Mine has bin a great shooter, dropping hogs out to 300 yds. Your gonna love this gun!
