Was in my local gunshop last week and they still had some.  They have a sign on the shelf where the primers used to be that says "primers available, limit 200".  Didn't inquire as to what exactly they had.

Sorry, not much help to you, but the shortage is all over, not just where you are.

thats almost comical. It isnt worth the gas to run to the store for 200 primers.

Yeah, I know what you mean.  You'd have to pile your family and a few friends in a big van and all buy 200 to make it "cost effective"!

Shotgun primers are the only thing you can get anywhere in s.e Wisconsin.  It may let up some in a few weeks.

Still very few primers as of today. Midwest Shooters supply in Lomira had 400,000 small pistol and they sold out in 10 days or so.

Hello everyone,
While we're on the subject of locating primers, does anyone know where to find some standard small pistol primers in the Grand Rapids area? Willing to drive a ways to get some but must be larger lots, not just 200.

Thanks, Dinny

Dinny,

Al & Bob's Sports, Rylee's Ace Hardware, or for a drive Bob's Gun and Tackle in Hastings or Wilderness Dreams in Sand Lake.

I don't live there anymore (moved to God's country - the U.P.) a few years ago so don't know what they have, just likely spots to try.  If you live there I'm sure you already tried all or most of them.

You might go on the Michigan Gun Owners forums and check around.  Might find some for sale by a member or a tip about where to buy some.

Thanks for the ideas. I'll check those places.  Keep the ideas coming, I'll keep looking until I find enough to last for a while. My friends and I are shooting IDPA and need to continue practicing to keep-up.

Thanks, Dinny
