Once again I have a "New Season" handed me. Hmmmmmmm
« on: October 02, 2009, 03:34:01 PM »
I did a song I wrote in a Church special last Sunday called "Seasons" concerning the constantly changing seasons of our lives. Well yesterday I got a phone call long distance from my boss. He is not my boss anymore after tomorrow. No, he isn't quiting, or being laid off. I am.
I finally got to meet GB face to face day before yesterday, and it seems just in time, as I most likely won't be out his way again, maybe ever. Who knows?
At 60 years old, all I can say is: Here we go again. The real estate market crashed a couple years ago and wiped out my investments completely, and now I have got to find yet another job. Bet I do to. May not be the one I want, but I suspect God will help me out when needed. Like ole Worley says in his latest country song: Sounds like life to me. ;)

At 60 you still have a long time to visit.

Like they say, "You Can't Keep A Good Man Down"!

I am sure you will come through this just fine in the end.
Keep the faith, which I know you will and let GOD work his magic.

Why not? After all it is really all we have. Everything else is "temporarily borrowed from the real King". Is it not? I have a wife that is partly disabled, and while loving her more than myself, it is a pleasure to take care of her. I must work to do that. God knows this.

Good luck DEE we may have had some wordds in the past but I think we probably agree on 99% of things. God will provide for you.  Prayers sent on your behalf.

I will be praying for you Dee.  You've got the heart and the will, and a strong faith.  Things will work out.

:-\ Dee, best of luck and best wishes. Things change in life, not often the  way we wish, but we must go on down the trail. One blessing you still have is you wife. Hope all turns around soon. If I could be of help even though I am far away, do not hesitate to let me know.... :)

Dee, I think your faith is well rooted, and that faith is what can get you through anything. You seem to have the characteristics of a good man. Like the type of person that I would like to meet some day.
May God Bless you and your family.

Dee, I wish you the best.  Everything happens for a reason.  I lost my job almost 2 years ago, but now I have my own business.  Life is wonderful.  Didn't quite know how things were going to turn out, but God definitely has his plan for each and every one of us.

Remain strong in your faith and continue to trust God.  Prayers sent.

The road will have many turns many different paths, however, if your direction is to try and follow the Lords path no matter if there are turns you will find that your path is the right one. All will be fine.

I am certainly open to suggestions, as long as I don't have to chase dope dealers. Let me know with an email.

I know what you are going threw having just recently hit the same bump in the road.  I have found a job... it's not what I enjoy doing, the hours suck, and I'm making $4.00/hr less than what I was making but I thank God that at least I have a job and beleive the good Lord will eventually open other doors for me if I just keep looking and listening to Him.

Don't ever give up.

I have had a CDL for years, and for 10 years ran my own trucking company after 20 years of law enforcement. I returned to trucking "RELUCTANTLY" after my real estate business was about to go under due to the housing market here dropping to near nothing.
My intention is to go into something more along my education and experience, and have been approached by an M.D. whom is interested in my going into Hospice work as a Chaplin and Councilor. Mohawk has also emailed me on a possible opening in the L.E. arena quite different from my past experience. We shall see what happens, but in the end I will do what I have to do if nothing appears soon.
