old Sile Hawken at Houston pawnshop.
« on: September 01, 2009, 10:11:54 AM »
Saw an older Sile-imported Italian made Hawken .50 at a pawn shop today, 9-1-09.
I looked it over close, looked very good, good wood, good metal to wood fit, screw heads mostly good, not messed up. Missing front sight that dovetails in, it had set triggers,  barrel polished white. Looked unfired, no rust in barrel that I could see.
They were asking $100 and of course I don't have an extra $100. Too bad.
If you are around Houston and want it, PM me and I'll tell you 'whar she be'.
It's a good shop, nice people there, probably would cut you a deal.
Moderator, you want to put this in blackpowder classifieds it's OK w/ me.
