The CVA BuckHorn is a really good gun.  I have scoped and sighted in a lot of them for local hunters.  It is just as accurate and reliable as any muzzleloder out there.  A good starting load is 90 grains of Pyrodex RS and the excxellent 240 grain .430 Hornady XTP bullet.

Good hunting with your BuckHorn.

I've got one; 2nd muzzleloader I've owned. It is a good rifle, esp. considering low price (i got it for 80 bucks a few years ago, post-season sale at WallyMart). I've got a 4x scope on mine, standard load is 90gr Pyrodex RS (it was on sale, too, bought several pounds at $6/pound and quit using 777) with a 240gr XTP.

Dead deer. The Buckhorn biggest attributes are... excellent trigger, very nice stock.
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.
