what not to do with variable scopes..

the other day my hands were shaking terrible..all i wanted to do was set a scope sighted 2 over back dn to 100 zero..so i decided to put it in the gun vice i use for bore sighting..
 after several shots in the vice..
  the adjustments were reveresed . right was left up was dn an so on..
 so im smart i ll just adjust opposite..
 naw ..when i adjusted right an inch in the vice so it was right i thought
 bullet hit 1 1/2 high an half inch to the right .. scopes shot.. i won t say what brand as a vice is just not something to discharge a firearm in ..shocks them too much.. jmo slim live an learn hopefully..
 im about to the point that it don t pay me to try an fix nothing that rquires precise doing..its not in me no more..

  gave it a second chance to see for sure.. gun is 1 inch low at 25 yrds which was the goal....
 will that be 1 inch high at the 100 or dead on at the 100. thats what im really after but cant get to the range..so if anybody knows ..is it zeroed at the 100 or at 1 inch high..
 as to figuring scopes ,,just call me happily confused..i ll never figure this stuff out..but at least i don t have to do without my best 110..06..that was gonna worry me bigtime as there no justification for scopes an other wants ,,right now,,in the budget. thanks for you time
