I don't know for sure about the 1300, but I had a Model 1200--the pump that preceded it, and I'm left-handed. Williams used to make replacement safety buttons for shotguns--including a lefty version. I bought one and changed it myself. Not a very big job--and I can't imagine that the trigger mechanism for the 1300 is much different. The way the button I had was configured, though--it was designed in such a way that merely taking it out and turning it around would not work. I expect that if you couldn't find an aftermarket lefthand button, a gunsmith with a lathe could, from looking at yours, turn out a reversed button that would work. My factory right-hander had a flat that the mating spring rested on. The Williams one did not. It was merely turned to the required dimension. It worked OK but the Winchester button operated more smoothly. I've not looked but I don't think Williams offers these safety buttons any more.
