after,my rem 597 exploded a shell in the chamber,rem gave me a model 5 bolt action.i like the gun,but hate the safety bolt function and the trigger pull. the manual states that the trigger pull is preset at the factory and should not be modified. i cannot use it like it is since,it must be 6-8#. any suggestions?
