Either the old guy forgot to come to "work" today, or he's out hunting, fishing or shooting.  Ya might think it's the Fall of the year ;)

With the cool and rainy weather change lately out here in the Pacific Northwest, I'd venture to guess that Tim has taken one of his Handi girls out in preperation for Blacktail Deer Season.  ;)

Went fishin and shootin, river was high and muddy when we got there at daylight, so we went up the hill and did some shootin, got son got his rifle zeroed, then I shot my 270 Win fluted Ultra with some factory ammo Jack gave me cuz they didn't shoot good in his Browning, they didn't shoot good for me either. Went back to the river which had cleared some, but still didn't hit any fish until 2:30 this afternoon, lost a nice King and my son lost a nice salmon or steelhead, but he didn't have it on long enough to know what it was, he also snagged a nice 12" Whitefish which he released, all in all it was a good day, didn't rain on us, deer season opens this weekend, but I won't be going until next Thursday.  :-\

Tim, wish I could do what you did today. My son called me 15 mins ago and may be moving to Hawaii. :'( Guess I better check if I spelled it right if'n he's gonna live there. A bit far from IN. Don't know if there's a use for a Handi 44 mag there.

Thanks Tim. I got him one for Christmas, thought he would use it in Tampa or Portland Oregon. Thought I'd get out your way someday. Maybe better weather in Hawaii for my retirement though. :-\

I have to mention this, my son doesn't shoot much, just deer hunting, other than some plinking with 22Lr, all he does is check zero once a year and then hunts our short deer season. He shot the target below from his Winchester M670 at 131yds using Fusion 150gr ammo, his first two shots from a cold bore, a bit high, but great shooting on his part, I'm real proud of him, that's for sure.  ;D
