Video showing closeups of Wiard field gun
« on: November 18, 2009, 03:35:33 PM »
At about 1:20 there's some closeup video of the marks etc. on a Wiard field gun, 6 pounder I think.  I'm posting this because someone had questions about the front sight.  Of course I can't find that post now to put the response in the right place.

John, excellent video. Liked the way you sorta zipped by the AA gun and cut to the chase. I'd dearly love for you to find a small cannon for me, but swmbo would probably tie me across the muzzle and we all know what that means. Thanks for sharing. Frank

Thank you.  'Twas I that asked about it.  Do you remember if it is a post, post and bead, blade, or what in that shrouded front sight?  That as really caught my fancy.

joe, ran the vid again, looks like a pyramid inside the circle. Sorta like a mauser front sight. Frank
