Open sights
« on: October 20, 2009, 04:24:25 PM »
I am looking for some info from those of you who have Rossi single shots with open sights.  I have looked at several at my favorite gun store.  In particular a 44 mag with the newer synthetic stocks.  I like it overall but the front sight does not appear to be aligned properly, just like the Rossi 12 guage slug gun I had before.  Is this a common problem?

Also, does anyone know the twist rate of the 44 magunm?

Thanks all.

I have the Rossi Trifecta with the .22, .243 and 20 gauge barrels.  All of them have good sights.  My only complaint is that the .22 and .243 are plastic.  Not really a problem though since I now have both of them scoped.  The 20 gauge sight is a metal dot.  My suggestion is that if you see one that appears off, don't buy it.  Ask the salesperson for another example.

I'm not sure what the twist rate is on the 44 mag.  Try looking on the Rossi web site.  I've seen it there for others.

I would just have to ask the salesperson for another example.  I have looked on their website, but will look again.  Sometimes you have to find the right page.
