There are a lot of ways to handle this problem other than " I'll just shoot him and not tell".  You can call me anything you want. The guy that shot my dog a few years ago went to jail. If he would have come out of his house, jail is not where he would have went. It take a pretty sick person to just shoot someone's pet. Some people wonder why they want to take your guns away. Maybe some people don't need guns. Don

MAYBE SOME PEOPLE DONT NEED PETS, You missed the point DON, Keep your much loved pet in your yard!!!! Get it!  The man that shot your dog was probably tired of dealing with you and your dog and did something about it. His mistake was letting you know! But I assure you your pet would be safe today if you took the care needed to keep it in your yard on your premises.  Your the negligent one !

Whatever dude, you are totally wrong and don't have any idea what happened or have a clue. YOU MISSED THE POINT "DON'T SHOOT PEOPLE'S PETS". Deal with it like a man, don't sneak and shoot something and go  "OH, It wasn't me" How pathetic. Enought said. Don

Plus one Oldshooter. Somebody shot my poor ole pet dog, that I was letting run the neighborhood at will. How dare someone get tired of ole Spot, peein and poopin, in their yard, and scatterin their trash.
I chain link fenced a half acre to make sure my dog left the neighbors alone, and if I got one that barked too much. GOODBYE!
Be a good neighbor doninva, and keep you pet up and no one will shoot it. As far as that neighbor not comin outside he may not have wanted to have to beat your butt into the ground. It's always better to brag AFTER THE FIGHT. Your lucky he didn't shoot you too.
Like Oldshooter said. Keep your dog up, and there would never have been a problem. ::)

I agree there are lots of ways to handle this situation without shooting. One is for a bad dog, you take a sponge about the size of a baseball, tie it up small with thread, soak it in bacon grease and feed it to fido. He gets a belly ache and bye bye bowser.Tylenol is also very toxic to toto. But Mr. Cat is another matter altogether. He generally won't eat much left out for him, and if he does he usually has a stomach of cast iron. For Mr. Fuzzy a bullet and the 3 S's is the best way to handle it.
99% of all Lawyers give the other 1% a bad name. What I find hilarious about this is they are such an arrogant bunch, that they all think they are in the 1%.

NO IT AINT ENOUGH SAID, Its people like you that are the problem! I wont go outa my way to kill anything that aint on my place chasing my animals. But I'll shoot em if they are, and i'll handle the owner if he shows up whining! By Texas law I have the right to do so!

Keep your "pets " at home and you will be safe!

I've now read the entire thread or what's left of it. It appears some posts got deleted. I see no reason to reopen it. It's going absolutely nowhere and has wound up where every cat thread ever started here has ended and with the same fate.
