Anybody had a chance to play with the new .410 lever action by Winchester?  Looks like a nice little gun.

I thought so too, but kinda expensive for a grouse/rabbit gun.

Got a friend that shot a 15 Buck that field dressed 275 lbs with a 410 slug in one of them guns.  Deer only went about 30 yards after the shot but he said that when he saw that thing coming through the woods he was wishing that he had a little bigger gun.

If you want a good .410 buy a remington 870 special purpose. The winchester lever .410 has had many problems judging from comments on other boards. Plus it will only chamber the 2 1/2" shell. I wouldn't own one on a bet and neither would I ever take one deer hunting. The .410 slug about equals a standard .38 special or less.
