Colt M4 22LR
« on: October 17, 2009, 12:59:52 PM »
Had the chance to shoot One of the new, Colt well Uramax , Made by (Carl Walthers) in Germany  M4 22LR today..   What a Nice well built little rifle.  At fifty yards with the factory open sights free hand, we could get about 1 to 1.5 inch groups. we were shooting CCI mini mags.  It handles just like its big brother other than the fake forward assist, and fake bolt release.  The safty sucks also, you have to turn it about 180 degrees.   I think with a scope that it would be a great little tree rat carbine. The Mags are really long for 30rd mags also.  They should have made them double stack mags.  All and all Nice rifles.

Can't wait to try one of the new S&W's.   Has anyone shot one yet?

Thanks a lot for the info. I got one of the spikes tactical 22 conversions. I was wandering if there was a need to have a dedicated barrel in the 22 lr diameter. Looks like you answered my question. Have a nice day.

colt was more reliable and more like a real ar15 but that could be luck of the draw. It just wasnt as ammo sensitive.
