Huntsman Date
« on: November 13, 2009, 08:32:26 AM »
Hello everyone

I have a NEF Huntsman and I'm trying to figure out the date so I can purchase one of the new Breechplugs from Nick (209 primer) and put the rifle back into service. Serial starts with NT 359xxx. Plugs on the older ones use 7/8" newer 5/8". Any help would be appreciated.

CC,

Your Huntsman is a 2003, it will have a 7/8" breech plug. The 5/8" breech plugs started in 2005.

2003 was a good year for the Huntsman barrels, come to think of it they were all good years. ;)
