Was this ever a factory offering from T/C ? Also, is anyone willing to share STARTING load data, particularly for 100 gr. bullets. dinger

      Yes, it was, in both pistol length(15") and rifle length(24"), but unfortunately only for a short time.  I'll be glad to look up my load data this evening, but I don't think I've ever loaded 100gr'ers.  I have used the Sierrra 85gr, 120gr BT and some 140's.

     Sorry, I had no history with a 100gr in the .260Rem.  I have shot 100gr BT's in my 6.5JDJ with very good accuracy but no animals.  I use the 85gr Sierra for vermin and the 120 Speer or 120BT for Deer.  Hodgdon's manual shows a starting load of 43.0gr of H414 for a BAR 100gr XFB.  I have had good results with H414 and Varget, but shooting 120's.

Hopalong7, thanks for the reply. I'm thinking the 100 gr's. might be a good match for whitetails with the 15" barrel. Distances would likely be inside 150 yds. because of terrain, etc. Hornady 129 gr.shot well at 100 yds.
( 2" for 3 shots) if i did my part. This was from a steady rest. A good handgunner would probably cut that in half. I have faith in the gun and sight combo ( Weaver 2.5x8, Leupold Rifleman rings, Weaver base ) but i really have to  buckle down to get the groups mentioned.

120 grain NBT's and Varget were a great combo for mine.  Mine was amild load, but I do not have it in front of me.

     I'm with Ernie,  I'd go 120gr, either the Speer SP or the Nosler BT.  I'd consider the 100BT a little light in my 6.5JDJ and especially in the .260.  I've shot several deer with the 120BT and I don't know how many with the Speer 120SP and have not been dissappointed yet, and your velocities should be 150-200 fps faster than mine.

Out of my 15" Encore I've had good results with 120gr Rem Core-lokts over IMR4064. Here's a pic of some targets I shot recently while doing some load work up with that combination. Granted they're only 2 shot groups at 50yrds but you can see that there are quite a few loads with good accuracy potential.  http://i599.photobucket.com/albums/tt71/TC260/DSCN1497.jpg

I've also have good results with 129 SST's and 140gr Interlocks over H4831sc
