Raz....sort of half agree with ya. Never could figure out the reason for a camo handled knife..never made one. I think most materials that are man made, and not of neutural colors are easy enough to see. Most of the Micarta's except maybe green(which is uglier than sin anyway). Far as a white handled knife being easy to see.....true in a non-snowing situaltion. Last year, I managed to run over my White Micarta handled knife with my truck while skinning/breaking down a couple of deer carcasses. It was -2 degrees with a lot of snow. Lucky it was Micarta, and only suffered a couple of real minor gouges. Guess the correct answer is to aviod colors that mimic your usual background. Still carry that knife though, and made DANGED sure I knew where it was this year while I was doing the same thing in only slightly warmer weather. I also own a couple that are made of wood, and am willing to risk them being a trifle hard to spot in return for the beauty in them. Up to y'all what you do.
