Thanks for the review Ron, I appreciate it! The main bodies of the wrenches are made out of 4140 MOD which is an alloy steel that's been heat treated before machining. Great stuff, regular CRS is not good enough for this application...yes, that cross piece/handle is purposely fixed...like you say, if you just have pressure on the one side of the handle it has a tendency to want to slip...
The correct way to use these wrenches is to hold it in you right hand to tighten and your left hand to loosen the nut. Use your thumb to apply pressure to the handle as you also apply downward pressure. That's the best way I've found to use them, there may be other ways.
Yes, marking the pilots would be nice, but I haven't figured out a good and cost effective way...aside from a 40K laser!
Thanks again for the kind words, it is interesting why DW didn't make their wrenches as nice as their guns...the wrenches I'm have now are just the "entry level" wrenches...there's one in the works and I hope to have soon that's gonna be the "deluxe class" one! Gonna be more expensive but IMO very much worth it...still planning on offering the ones I have now...
