Gray Winchester AA Super Sport hulls
« on: October 19, 2003, 05:15:43 AM »
I picked up some of the AA Super Sports hulls the other day and started to reload, but the new plastic cup in these gray hulls won't let the wad seat properly.  I pulled a few wads that I was able to get seated, but the gas seal had been deformed.  I saw the loading tips on the winchester site, but that was no help.  Is it jus my wad choice? I've tried RP12s and Fed12C3s so far.  Any tips?

The Claybuster bag for their WAA12 equilivent wads says something to the effect that they are now redesigned to fit the new WW AA hulls.  I believe they have a slight taper to the gas seal portion of the wad so the wad does not hang up on the inside of the new High Strength (HS) hull.  You might want to give them a try, or use actual WAA12 wads.
