KEL TEC P 3AT VS P-32

   What are the atvantages // disatvantages of one over the other.   As I see it .
    Any others I have not thought of ??

   atvantages  P 3AT 
   1 Slightly more power
   
    Disatvantage
   1 more recoil....gun will need to visit the plant sooner if shot a fair amount. 
   2 heavier weighing in at an xtra 1.7 ounces

  atvantages P32

   1 less recoil more pleasant to shoot
   2 last longer with out going to the plant due to less recoil
   3 Almost 2 ounces lighter

IMO and the opinion of many others the .380 is a marginal defense round and the .32 is about useless.  If I'm not mistaken CCI .22lr Mini Mags have proven to give better penetration in ballistic jell.

  Another advantage for the P-32 is that you can purchase a 10 shot magazine that makes it easier to hold on to the small pistol, as well as more shots. A neat "Crimson Trace" laser sight can be attached to either that adds to their utility.
  I'll not comment on their firepower, but personaly would rather have either than a .22 caliber pistol as my "back up". (I do alternately load mine with hollow points and FMJ'ed bullets in case the "jelly" encountered has bone in it :))

I own both-the P3AT is mine, the P32 my wife's. True, the rounds fired by either are marginal, but what other caliber can you get in a pistol that is always there? I am NEVER without the P3AT. It is usually carried as back-up to a larger pistol, and for that job they are perfect. A P32 in the pocket beats a G27 on the dresser every time!
Having shot both, I would add to your list the fact that the P32 seems to be more accurate and has the internal slide lock.

I own both pistols. I consider the difference between the two insignificant. Neither are optimal defense pistols, but as OSOK said, either can always be with you. I carry one of my two P3ATs daily. I'll never wear either of them out. I shoot at most, 7rds a month thru the one I'm carrying. That's enough shooting for a pistol of this type to check the function. These little guns are not designed to be a high volume shooter, and you'll never see mine with extended grips or long mags which do nothing but make a small compact pistol less concealable. As I have said in the past: If I need a larger grip, it'll have a larger pistol attached to it!

Both are extremely marginal. If not south of the border. I agree. The absolute beauty of either is they are small and do not feel like a boat anchor.

The 3AT is a fine little pistol in its own right. It will disappear in your front pocket.

The P-32 is even better. It is not disagreeable to shoot. It disappears and I forget I have it with me. I like them so much I have two of them. A 1st generation and a 2nd generation. The 2nd generation is always with me. Always. The 1st generation has a light blue grip and is a prize possession.

The 3AT and the P-32 will generally not cause instant death to an assailant. But, .45s have also been known NOT to cause instant death. Either one may save your life though.

The P-32 that I carry, is vastly superior to the .45, that is in my gun safe. Pocket pistols cannot replace full size pistols, shotguns or rifles. I generally shoot 9mm, .40 and .45s at the range. When outside, bush hogging and such, I wear a .38 Special, with the first two chambers loaded with snake shot. But, the P-32 is always in my front pocket. So, I choose the P-32 over the 3AT.
