That's unusual: Blue whale in California
« on: October 22, 2009, 08:04:38 AM »
A blue whale washed up on shore after being hit by a ship. (Break out the barbecue and call all your eskimo buddies.) Last week, another blue whale washed up south of there after being hit by a different ship. Very strange.

They may be trying to mate with the ships.

Beware of the man that carries a single shot rifle, because there won't be any warning shots!!!

About 50 some odd years ago, I saw one at Pismo Beach or close to it that had washed up on shore.   Probably had a similar accident.

Defender Of Wildlife will try and get ships banned from that stretch of ocean.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.
