26mm scope rings for Kollmorgen

I am looking for rings for this great old Kollmorgen scope. Weaver used to make them, but cannot find them now. Do any of you folks know where I could get some 26mm rings? I have used a Dremel to carve out a pair of 1" Weaver detachable rings to slightly oversize and used them, but pretty crude, and not satisfactory for a high recoil application I have in mind. Could a gunsmith or machine shop make these from a set of 1 in. rings (26mm is slightly larger)?  This scope is an excellent optic and I would like to put it to use.   Thanks.

I ran across a guy that was looking for some 26mm rings last weekend. I talk to him Monday and he ordered a pair from Leupold.
