I have found that when it comes to the .300 Win mag or the .300 Wby, they just don't seem to really care a whole lot for those little light weight bullets. I suppose I must have shot at least 3 dozen or so in the last 44 years. It has been my experience that some will shoot the 165 grain bullets well enough on paper but excell at shooting the 180 and 200 grain bullets the best across the board. You also get a lot of bloodshot meat using those light bullets on thin small game like deer and antelope, when the velocity is well over 2900fps and upward.
