White Hots by IMR. Try 'em yet?
« on: November 10, 2009, 07:26:31 AM »
Just checking to see if anyone has tried the IMR White Hot pellets.  Opinion?  Do you think a musket cap will ignite them?  I am trying to find some locally with no luck.  Due to haz. mat charges, I will have to order about 5 packs to make it worth my while.  Don't want to spend the $$ unless the benefit is there.

Just my opinion... Same as T7 mag pellets... T7 is white when it is manufactured and a black dye and charcoal are added...

Starting pellets, other Pyro pellets, with a #11 or Musket cap is a risky business.

I would highly suggest that you work with loose powder.  I use T7-2f and really am happy with it.  BH-209 is a great powder but to expensive for me
Keep shooting muzzleloaders - they are a blast....

I've heard bad things about Whiye Hots.  I use loose Pyrodex RS or Goex fff because they are cheap and the gun goes off everytime.
