New 'old-timer' here
« on: November 03, 2009, 02:13:47 PM »
just stoppin' by to say howdy.  Lawrence county near Bedford.  retired from the Army/Navy base just down the road.  Like center fires, camping, fishing, most anything outdoors.

got a question while i'm here.  anyone know a good smith in this neck of the woods?  i would like to add open sights to a m77 hawkeye.

thanks, and happy huntin'.   ;D

Welcome Greenbug,
We enjoy having new guests visit and post their knowledge and experiences with us. We strive to make this a respectful, warm, and comfortable place to make new friends and share with each other.  Kick your shoes off, sit back in your easy chair and stay for a while. ;)

I don't know of any gunsmiths in your area specifically, but here's a few search links you could try.

BTW, while we have you here, have you seen or heard of any wild/feral hogs in your area?

Take care, Dinny

I asked at the gun shop in Mitchell and he said the nearest good gunsmith was in Martinsville but he didn't say who it was.
