deer blind windows
« on: October 22, 2009, 04:53:08 AM »
Had a little mishap with my deer blind last night. It's about 10 years old and was getting soft, but it got away from us unloading it off the trailer like we have done every year for 10 years and it ended up on it's roof...long story short, i got less than a month to build a new one....i had glass windows that slid in channel we cut into 2x4's, just wondering how you guys do your windows...looking for a better way, easy opening with minimal movement

I prefer them hinged at the top and opening inward. The other style that I have seen I liked was sliding up with some type of retainer so they weren't removed completely. I also prefer one of the plastic windows to glass.

I do not like the ones that slide to the side because part of the window is always blocked. I also don't like the ones that slide down because I bump them with my knees.
