Silicone suede lined holster for Super Blackhawk 4 & 5/8
« on: November 25, 2003, 12:36:58 PM »
I have serched the internet looking for a good leather silicone suede lined holster for a 44 mag. 4 & 5/8 in. Super Blackhawk. I can not find one!  Galco makes an unlined one, but only for the a 5 & 1/2 in. Can anyone help me?

El Paso Saddlery- http://epsaddlery.com -but if you hunt in country that is the least bit dusty I believe you will come to prefer an unlined holster.  The suede (especially siliconed) will catch and hold the dust and grit and over time it acts like sandpaper buffing away your finish.  Also,  a properly wet formed unlined holster is far easier to draw from and reinsert into than any lined holster.  Just my experience.

Thanks for the tip Blackhawk44. I went to there web site and they have a good selection.  I am considering what you said about the lined holsters.

Try San Pedro Saddlery. I have a Tom Threepersons crossdraw from them for my 7 1/2" Bisley. It is suede lined, and a real nice piece of leather.
