Can anyone post the exact rifle setup the national winners..

used. I have seen some pictures and some of the rifles dont look legal to me. I think maby I did not understand the NRA rule book. I would like to know what rifles and modifications Cathy Winstead used to win. She must be on to something.

Hotkars,
What don't you understand about the rifles ? Trust me, all the rifles are legal. Winstead-Aschutz 1712, Sanchez-Anshutz 1808, Reninger-Anshutz 1710D. As far as what she used to win...She's Cathy Winstead that's what she used. In HP all winners used Rem 700, Neskia Model T, and Tikka M-595.

I was refering to the barrel tuners on the rifles in the pictures. I am shooting mid 30's now and could use any edge I can get to get to the high 30's.

Hotkars,
I don't knowwhat picture your'e refering to. I checked the article in the latest SSUSA and there isn't really a good picture of her rfile.
The most ecent rule book revsion Mar2003 Rule 3.1.1 (e) for Hunter rifle states it very clearly that they are allowed in that class. You'll need some $15 a box ammo also.

tedfl, I have no idea what picture hotkars is refering to. The picutre you linked to says that they are in a shoot off (with std rifels) but won the hunter. The guns are std rifles. I was there.
