Most Californians are really good folks who just want to get on with their lives with a minimum amount of governmant intrusion. If you look at the anti-gun states you see that they are being controlled by the anti-gun liberals from the population centers like Boston, NY City, and Baltimore.

While I agree
almost word for word in this quote, the word that I CANNOT hold as accurate is the word
MOST.
If that were even slightly accurate we wouldn't be having this discussion.
What
is accurate is that MOST Americans are willing to vote about something they know little or nothing about.
I don't see a good cure for that problem but it IS how we got to this crummy situation.
Your remarks are mostly correct and I agree with
most of it..
I grew up in Maryland. There, Baltimore city and Baltimore county decide
all elections because they out-number the rest of the state and they're a bunch of socialists or folks reachin' for a gov.'t tit ( the socialists primary chump.)
Its why I don't live there any more. City living requires socialistic thinking. How else can a city survive? They cannot feed themselves nor do almost anything else for themselves. Every necessity of life must be
provided to them by the labor of
others.
This is why, once upon a time only
owners of land or businesses were allowed to vote. They are deemed to be the only people that have a tangible stake ("real property", a legal term and an important differentiation) in how
any country is run and therefore the only people whose opinions matter.
It is/was the same [correct] thinking as figuring out who in a family will decide how the family finances will be managed. No sane, clear-thinking parent would let their children have
any say in this subject.
People who receive
any form of "dole" from
any gov. entity are technically "wards of the state", just as children are wards of their parents or guardians.
Where is the sound reasoning principle that makes letting "wards" decide how the finances should be handled?

I agree 100%. As I remember , standing in line to vote last Nov. there seemed to be a lot of the "out-of-work-welfare" types talking about how "weeze gunna gets us a brotha in the prezdinsy now". Of course they would vote for the "gov't tit"!
