My standard load in 3 silly wett barrels (been shooting them for over 23 years) and my MGM 14" hunting rig is 20.0 296 ahead of either a 180 Rem JHP or 180 XTP.
If I agreed with you then we would both be wrong.

IMO there is no point in using bullets lighter than 180 in a rifle.  Light bullets are not designed for high velocity and will over-expand; you will be getting in excess of 2000 fps even with 180s in top loads.  While hogs are not armor plated, you still want plenty of penetration.  158s and lighter are recipes for failure.

Speer lists AA1680 as giving top velocities with 180s.  Nosler lists RL-7 as the top speedster with 180s.  Powders slower than H110/W296 will give even higher velocities in longer barrels - as for accuracy, only testing will tell.

My 357 max cabine shot extremely well using a max load of AA1680 under a 200 gr. Sierra RN. The  barrel was a 1-14 twist MGM barrel.
