Made it to Cabela's
« on: September 29, 2003, 02:21:41 AM »
Hey all,
I made it to Cabela's this weekend.  I finally sweat off those stubborn last 5 pounds.  I think it was fate/kismet.  I looked at the regular 1851 navy, an 1863 Police, and a Remmington.  I didn't see the engraved 1851 Navy anywhere, so I was definitely leaning towards the Remmington.  Especially since they had a 36 Remmington and I was leaning towards that caliber.  My wife knew my dilema betwixt the 51 and the Remmington, and told me to get what I wanted and if what I wanted was in the catalog, then I should look there.  Well, I asked the guy behind the counter if they had the engraved 1851, just to compare.  He looked and they did, but they only had one.  Well, they have zero now.  It is a sweet gun.  Now all I have to do is make a holster worthy of its beauty.  I should be able to get to a range in a couple of weeks, I will let you know how it shoots.
Hey 44 man, she has a mother, who shoots like Annie Oakley, but she's already attached, sorry.

My wife is sooooooo great, she saw me looking at a Millenium at Cabelas, and asked the clerk for the box. Should have seen the look on his face, ( and mine)...DM
