Anyone out there with any experience with this round?  Am considering ordering one for a possible uncoming elk hunt..quite sure it would work for deer also.  Any comments appreciated.

A pard (who I haven't seen on-line for a couple of years) has a 338JDJ#2 and took a 5X5 bull down in AZ about 3 years ago (a scrapper with his tines all broke off).   Mike has a lot of experience shooting the handcannons - has several of them as I do.   Anyway, can't remember the exact range, but I know it was well over 300 yards.    Here's the picture he sent me.   Would be a heck of a sledgehammer on a deer - but mine on hand for big western mule deer is a 309JDJ.

Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus
