?? Where do you sell your Fur??

would like to know where people are selling there fur and how.

sell local, state trapping asc. auction or one of the big auction places??

I am in an area where we don't have alot of fur buyers and the one i know of i have now head good things about and they do not retrun phone calls. so I would prefer not to deal with them.

have never tried an auction How do they work for you guys?
is one better than the others??

Also do you put your fur up or sell in the round??

If any knows of a good fur buyer with in 2 hours of north west NEB. let me know.  Thanks for the help.

I sell some of my furs through the NAFA Auction house.Now when you ship to auction all furs must be put up.
 I also sell to a local buyer,Jim Rosenwald at North Star furs.Jim and I have been doing business together for about 25 years.
 All of my spring beaver go to jim--at that time of year I do not have the time or space for putting up large numbers of beaver.I sell all my spring beaver ,green.
Having dealt with Jim for so many years , he knows what quality of furs I am going to bring him.I also tell him if some of the green fur is lacking in qaulity--do to biting or rubbing.It sure helps to build trust ,when you each treat each other as you would like to be treated.  Tom

This will be my first year of selling furs and I am going to sell at the KY Fur Takers Auction. I will put all my furs up my self because I will have more pride in them. Also they will bring better prices. :wink:
