Rear Peep Sight
« on: November 15, 2009, 10:32:09 PM »
Thanks to a suggestion here about silver soldering a steel scope base,
I guess this must be the one in mind.

My thought is to have something like the short base and have that groove
across the middle machined into a dovetail slot.  If we can get that done
then silver solder the dovetail base to the top of the receiver ahead of the
hammer and behind the barrel.   There are some great little peep sight inserts
or regular V groove rear sights that slide into dovetails.  Dangit!  Why cant
the manufactuer do this ?

All scope bases for H&Rs are listed in the FAQs, Warne makes two one-piece steel bases, a Weaver style and a tactical picatinny base.
