Is this unbelievable? China/Obama!
« on: November 17, 2009, 06:39:17 AM »
China is in the process of building more new coal fire plants during the next five years than currently exist in the US. Given that fact, check out this article:

China is also in the process of building I think 20 something nuclear power plants with more planned.  They buy a lot of their coal from us.  China is way behind us in electrifying their country.  Only the coastal areas are covered, deep in the interior they still do without power.  They also are building a lot of hydroelectric dams.  Capitalism is building up their country like ours 75-100 years ago.

China does not care about the pollution their coal fired power plants produce.  There is one reason we should.  Remember back in the fifties when Russia tested above ground nukes?  Where did the fallout land?  Here in Alaska and Canada thats where.  Now where is all that smoke and particulates going to blow?  Look at a weather chart sometimes and check out the prevailing winds.  Look out Kalifornia, the ash is going to get deep.  But not just along the coast, it will fall all over the country, just heavier in the west.

We here in the US use a lot of coal, but we use scrubbers and other devices to reduce or prevent pollution.  Other countries don't, and won't do anything about pollution.  Want a good example, Ankara Turkey, during the winter.  Remember how China shut down all the plants and manufacturing in Beijing prior to the Olympics, just to do away with the smoke?
Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

obama the great apologist found out right quick that china does not give a flip about global warming or signing anything he and the others want them to.

china is on a course of modernization that is unprecendented in world history. they will emerge on top of the food chain of nations in ten years. they are not only a major military power but a major economic power.

they have already built a major highway system bigger than ours and plan to double that in ten years. coal plants nuke plants all there and going gangbusters on more. they plan to have a transportation system second to none in the world. if you start looking and reading the things they are doing and have planned it is amazing.

not to mention that they hold the great majority of our debt and could in the blink of an eye cause the collapse of our monetary system. so i do understand why obama has his hat in hand with them however it is not understandable why he kisses up to the others.
