FA Derringer??
« on: November 19, 2009, 03:44:04 PM »
Was thinking with FA expanding their lineup to include the single shot; possibly a rifle on the single shot platform; and their past dabbling in the FA mini guns, do you guys think a modern design derringer ...maybe 45 cal. would be cool? I'd like to see something a bit larger and beefier than what is currently offered by Bond arms. I think with the concealed carry market booming this would be a profitable product. In a larger caliber could even serve as a backup to their larger offerings. So I am not talking about a "mouse gun" but a larger yet still compact modern interpretation of the old single action derringer.

Thanks for your reply Lloyd,
Yes, after checking Bond's website they do cover just about every common large bore pistol caliber. Never handled a Bond derringer before. Still, would love to see something from FA similar to the action in the new single shot pistol. But I know I am just dreaming here. Think of it...something the size of the Rohrbaugh R9 or Boberg XR9 but with that beautiful FA stainless finish, and that cool single shot break action release (slide?) on top. Kind of reminds me of a sem-iauto in appearance. Getting off subject...wonder who does the design work at FA. Is it a team effort or what???? Is Bob Baker behind these cool firearms??? Dumb question I know.

rocky_taco thanks for the links. Shows of the Bond derringers better than their website. Grips look similar to the FA as well same laminated process. Cool pics. Thanks. Still wish FA would bring back the mini-guns but a bit beefed up .
