TAURUS PT 22.
« on: April 05, 2010, 12:35:38 PM »
A guy I know has a 22 cal Taurus for sale, tip up, and pearl like grips. He said he paid $350 and wants $100. It looks nice but I have trouble believing that a taurus pocket 22 would cost $350. POWDERMAN.  ??? ???

I paid $209. for a new one at Academy Sports about 6 months ago. Had one years ago and traded it off. Decided I wanted another. Fun little plinking pistol and mine is reasonably accurate.

GREENJEANS. Thanks, I thought the guy was pretty high in what he said, but's still a fair price of $100. POWDERMAN.  ;D ;D

I'd pay $100.00 for one. I would have to dump the pearl grips though. ;)
They are a little thick and heavy for a CCW gun, but I am spoiled to my Keltec P-3AT.

I didn't like the big grips either. Going over there Friday, I want to shoot it. POWDERMAN.  ;D ;D

They are popular in my area for CCW classes. The tip-up barrel and low price mostly.
I'd like to see Taurus offer it with a longer barrel and better sights as a small plinker.

I thought about swapping my berretta 25 for it then found out the berretta is worth quite a bit more than the taurus. POWDERMAN.  ;D ;D

Had one that failed to fire 2 to 3 rounds each mag and it didn't matter what brand of ammo I tried. Sent it to Taurus they replaced the firing pin in only 4 months, then failed to fire on the second mag. Went to the next show and found it a new home.

I had the pt 25, pretty fun little shooter, and fairly accurate.  I really had no use for it so off it went to a new home.
doubt id get another, but mine was fun enough when I had it.

It's a fun shooter. The only downside I can think of is that it's impossible for the average female to rack the slide....and virtually impossible for ME to do so. ::) Yes, there's that tip-up barrel. However, i'm talking about the occasional malfunction which requires you to clear the gun. It's a BEAR! :o

I had one a few years back and enjoyed it very much.  I removed the 'magazine safety' so it would fire without a mag in place.  Anyway mine was accurate and very dependable.  I'd jump at another one for $100!  If you don't take that, PM me.  44 Man
