Knight Disc
« on: October 29, 2009, 06:21:21 PM »
I was noting in the muzzleloader classifieds that people were looking for red or orangse assesories. Maybe i've been doing it wrong but I usually use the orange discs to attach my primers to atleast 3-5 times for shooting. Am I doing something wrong? My knight has been good so far. I'm down to 175 of those orange plastic things that I install the primers in.  Dave
Do you speak German? Well I don't speak Spanish so maybe you'd better learn English.

I have a board with a hole in it to push out the old primer. I only saved some in the past but plan to keep all I can now. Once they show signs of damage I will use them at the range or toss them.

Guys, I have a stupid question. I just bought a Knight D.I.S.C. Extreme and diddn't notice that it didn't use the 209 primers. How does this thing work. I have seen some information on some red or orange disc's but at this time i'm confused. As you might have guessed i'm new to this sport so any help would be great.

whitecap,

If it is a D.I.S.C. Extreme, it will use the red Full Plastic Jackets. You can also get a Non-Full Plastic Jacket conversion for it as well.

The older original D.I.S.C. Rifles used the orange primer carriers.

Your breech plug should have what looks like a big nipple on it that the Full Plastic Jacket goes over. You just need to put 209 primers in the jackets, then load them into the bolt, then move the bolt forward and down to prime. The bolt also removes the FPJ from the breech plug whey you lift and pull it rearward.

Here is what it would look like primed in your rifle.

The conversion would look like this.

thanks for the info, I have contacted my local gander mt and they have 200 of the disc's, I thought he said that they were orange? he said these will work their just oval for ease of removing the primer. Does this sound correct? any idea how long each disc will last? where can you get the conversion, Ithought i heard knight was going out of buisness.

If your rifle is an Extreme, the orange discs will not work, you need the red FPJ's.

Read this. Knight is no longer manufacturing rifles, but they are servicing rifles and manufacturing accessories.

Here is the RED Full Plastic Jackets that you need, and the old orange original D.I.S.C.'s that you don't. Scroll down. These can be had for better prices if you shop around.

Here is the bare primer conversion, also can be had for better prices if you shop around.
