My most recent Mulie.....
« on: October 26, 2009, 06:38:23 PM »

I shot him at my in-law's cattle ranch on Friday evening.  One shot with my 7mm Rem Mag, 140 grain Sierra GameKings over Reloder 22, CCI Magnum primers.  We glassed him on a ridge covered with buckbrush, and I had to put a sneak on him.  I ended up taking him at about 60 yards.  The Glock 20 is in the one picture for size reference.  I have an appointment to have him officially scored in mid-December for Boone & Crockett.  He scored really high unoffically, so after the 60 day drying period, and an official scorer, I should (fingers crossed an prayers said) make it past the 180 minimum to get in the record books.

Thanks!  He is a nice one!  I decided to do a european mount, due to having moved into a new home a few months ago.  It was built in 1949, and has 9 foot cielings, but a head mount would have to be hung way too low to fit in the living room.
