Predator calling

Hopefully when this cold spell snaps I'll get to break in the new Foxpro Scorpion.  Buddy was down over Thanksgiving and called a coyote to his diesel pickup.  I have got permission to do some calling on some virgin (uncalled) land.  Hopefully bobcat season won't be closed by the time I get there....
Well its -12 here and just waiting on the warm-up....lol pleeease....

Hey brother I hear you on the warm up please.

Here is my caller that has uploaded MP3 sounds from Varminter Al's web site, Radio Shack mini Amplified/Speaker 9 Volt powered.  I will get out here tomorrow after the snow settles down a bit.

Hey Jon, you just gave me an idea.  I'll just grab one of my kids MP3's and use it.  Some of their "music"  ???sounds about the same as some "varmit" calls.  We got up to about 12-13 above today, but the wind was so hard, put us back way below zero.  DP

The "Bug" says we got up to 9 today but you could have fooled me.  With the breeze it felt as cold as yesterday.

Ahoy what kind of "music" is that???   lol

Most kids look at me funny when I pull up listening to "pop" or that other stuff.  But I'm just burnt out on "country"....

Tomorrow sounds like the day to get out to do some calling...   We'll see...

Coyote boogie?  That's what they do when I shoot at them...I'm going to try shooting at them with at least one eye open next time!!

Well tomorrow morning will be my time for getting out with my uncle.  He with his Remington in .223 Rem and me with my Handi in .204 Ruger.  I got me 2 new boxes of Hornady 32-gr V Max's for my .204 Ruger, and this should give me enough ammo for a bit, along with the 1/2 box which should last me into Jan or Feb depending on the amount of coyotes we see or run into from our stands.

The differant call sounds will be interesting to try, and this should be a lot of fun.

Well, my uncle is not much of a coyote hunter as all he wanted to do was stay warm in the cab of my truck.  I will be headed out either alone this weekend or with my regular hunting partner if the weather holds off.  It seems when it is snowing them coyotes just hunker down and wait it out in their holes.

Well I got me some new hand calls, and the Primo's E Predator caller that has a 50 yard remote with volume control.  We're gonna see just how good this is.

I get a much cleaner sound from using handcalls than the MP3 digital sounds.
