Getting away with murder
« on: November 24, 2009, 08:55:54 AM »
I guess I've just watched too much TV, with all those wizard investigators that bring the murderers to justice despite all the clever means used to obscure the crime. But by golly, I just learned that 39% of murders in the US even lead to an arrest. I don't know what the conviction rate is, but since 39% yield arrests, surely the conviction rate is for fewer than 39% of murders.

Where i live there were over 200 murders a year . We were # 2 in the nation per cap. Many were drug related . 3 rail lines , 3 interstates , world port and several airports . Not all were caught or convicted . Does that shock you ? How much local funds should be invested in finding the out of town guy who killed the out of town drug dealer ? They met here a deal went bad one died the other took off . case closed .
If ya can see it ya can hit it !
