CUP to PSI

is there a conversion from cups to psi?  if it says i should not exceed 50,000 psi and the load data charts are all in cups how can i be sure i am still safe?   thanks

NO. There is no direct coorelation between the two. There are however some charts floating around out there for specific cartridges comparing the PSI and CUP for them. In some cases at max safe or SAAMI pressures PSI will be higher than CUP and in some cases CUP will be higher than PSI. In a few cases they are actually the same but that's rare.

 queary,,So presuming these are max sammi for individual cartridges, anything under those max CUP and/or PSI as stated for each (cup/psi) are safe in a gun in good condition?

I know to keep CUP and PSI as seperate and NOT interchangable measurements, but it's good to have the info at hand.
