Ithaca 37
« on: September 12, 2009, 04:43:29 AM »
I just got started using the myhosted pics and wanted to practice.  I posted some Qs about this gun on another site.  If anyone wants to comment here, feel free.

I just traded for this locally.  Story was that it was a gift from someone working at the factory and a special configuration.

I met a guy that worked for Ithaca Gun around 1979-1980. There were a lot of guns going out the back door like the one you have. Special features, great wood and different engraving. It is no wonder a small company like Ithaca could not keep up, too many workers stealing from them. This guy paid his horse shoer by upgrading a Mag 10 from a standard to a Supreme, Shotgunner

Skyhigh, you have a gorgeous stock on one of my favorite shotguns. I have a model 37 in a 16ga (small receiver) that I bought new in '68. My stock is just a "plain Jane" compared to yours, but it would be the last gun I would part with in my collection!
