(PICS) Tender, New Build!
« on: December 25, 2009, 02:28:47 AM »
I thought I would share some pics of my new build. The barrel is a 10" 22L.R. tapered from the fine folks  MGM. The grip I made from figured Black Walnut. This rig will be for squirrel hunting, target, and grand kid training.

I saved a matching pc. of Black Walnut to make a froearm with a heart Schnabel.

I topped it off with a cheap Barska 3x9 rifle scope. I went with this scope because of the compact size. The optics are very clear and I also like the lighted reticules. They can light red or green at the turn of a knob. It should hold up on the 22L.R. I dampened the forearm with water to show the color. More pics after all the finish work is done.

This little gal is happy and ready to shoot it.

My imagination! Its all done freehand using a band saw, router, and sander. Put a few marks on the wood and start shaping.

Very nice (in your case, I guess I should say "superb") as usual David! And what a perfect gift for that adorable little sweetheart in the picture. Looks like it was a Merry Christmas around Dave's house today.
